Being inspired instead of bitter

Do you ever look at the lives of other people and wish you had something they have? While it’s natural to become envious of others and want to have a similar lifestyle or successes, it can also become a problem if we focus more on the success of others than we do on wanting to improve our own lives. Also, even though we may see how others are thriving in their lives, we don’t necessarily see the whole picture and know all of the details of how others live.

A big reason why people tend to look at others and become jealous or even loathsome of their success is because they may not feel like they are where they want to be in life. Some people would rather focus on what they do not have instead of putting in the required effort to have the same level of success they see in others and would like for themselves. There are so many competing variables at play that it does not even seem fair to compare ourselves with others. Our upbringing, our cultural background and our level of intelligence (both IQ and EQ) are just some of the factors that make it difficult to even measure our worth versus others.
