Letting our Light shine

When you look back at your life, what accomplishments are you most proud of? What are some of those moments where you were flying high and beaming with delight? Usually, our proudest moments are the ones we put loads of time and effort into making happen. We overcome obstacles and display resilience while achieving our goals and doing the best we can with whatever life deals us. We are also able to hopefully do it all with some humility and grace, knowing no matter what happens, we have the ability to rise above it all.
Over the years I have learned it is not necessarily what I have accomplished I am most proud of, but how I have managed to carry on despite falling short on certain goals I set for myself or experiencing pitfalls and setbacks along the way. My life has been a continuous journey of ups and downs that not only test my resolve, but also test my faith and humility. I realized it’s not so much the outcome, but how I react to it. The easier I accept what cannot be changed, the easier it is to move on. The more diligently I work on correcting what can be changed, the more I persevere and hopefully succeed in what I set out to do.
