It can be easy to get stuck in a routine that feels like a rut. We can get so caught up in tending to responsibilities and commitments in our personal and professional lives that we find ourselves going through the motions while not really paying attention to improving our quality of life. We may realize that instead of being proactive and making appropriate changes to improve our life, we are just responding to what life presents us. By doing frequent check-ins with ourselves, we may be able to make small adjustments to help us live a more fulfilling and satisfying life.

There’s a a great quote from Sean Patrick Flanery, “Do something today that your future self will thank you for.” It challenges us to make changes in our life that will provide us with a better life. It could be related to our careers, our relationships, our health, or any other area of our life where we feel things have gotten stale and could use improvement. When we notice that we are not where we want to be, no matter what area of our life we are looking at, it’s up to us to make changes. Sometimes, it’s subtle changes that can make all the difference.
