Life is full of ups and downs. Some days we are riding high. Other days we are feeling low. Sometimes, it’s a rollercoaster ride of emotions tugging us through the day. The rough and tough days are much more manageable with the help of our support systems. From our loved ones to our strongest work allies, having people in our corner can provide us the boost we need to keep us on track and in good spirits.

I never realized how much I relied on the support of others while I was growing up. I considered myself more of a loner who liked to do things on my own. I rarely asked for help; not because I did not need it, but because I did not want it. Even though I isolated myself from others most of the time, I was fortunate enough to have people there for me when I needed them the most. My family and friends comforted me when relationships didn’t work out or setbacks made me want to give up on life. I am truly grateful for having had people to turn to in my darkest hours. I found reaching out for help is a strength and not a weakness.
