Starting fresh every day
“Begin at once to live, and count each separate day as a separate life.”
- Seneca
How often do you drag the past into your present? I’m referring to the unproductive thoughts that aim to keep us from letting go and moving on. It can be from last year, last month or even yesterday. Maybe you ran into issues in your personal or professional life that seem to keep persisting or lingering in the background. These may be issues we have to constantly address, which can make it hard to move on from. It can also make it tougher to start each day with a fresh new perspective filled with optimism and hope, as opposed to dread or despair.
Life is full of circumstances that test our resolve, presenting us with lessons for learning and growing. The biggest tests are the ones that persist and take time to fix and move on from. I have been making an effort to treat every day as a new opportunity to address the tests with a fresh approach based off of the learning and growing I have done. I do not let the past define me or today. Today is a new day filled with unlimited possibilities. It is a day to tackle our challenges from a new angle. The past is the past. Every day is a fresh start. It’s like using the Ctrl Alt Delete function to restart our computers. It’s can be so satisfying.
